Sudanese citizens in Egypt will soon benefit from quicker residency processes, according to Ambassador Imad Adawi in Cairo. Following appeals by the Supreme Council of the Sudanese Community, Egyptian authorities agreed to new steps aimed at easing daily challenges for Sudanese residents.

The changes include issuing residency permits within two weeks, cutting security clearances to three days, and enabling Sudanese children to enter schools before permits are completed.

Adawi encouraged community leaders to uphold Egyptian laws and work within legal boundaries while supporting Sudanese families. He further called for cooperation to restore “Beit Al-Sudan” as a hub for social programs, education, and community development.
