Port Sudan, August 16, 2025 (SUNA) – The Ministry of Industry and Trade has sent a technical team to Khartoum and Gezira states to prepare a detailed study on rehabilitating the industrial sector, Minister Mahasin Ali Yagoub said on Saturday.

The study will cover most manufacturing facilities in the two states, focusing on identifying problems and designing a phased recovery plan to bring factories back into production. The Minister stressed that the initiative is aimed at reviving the economy and addressing damage caused by the RSF militia.

Acting Director of the Information Directorate, Emad Khatmi, welcomed the cooperation of authorities and industrial partners in supporting the delegation’s work. He highlighted that the study will be comprehensive, forming part of the government’s broader post-war industrial development strategy.
